We can strive to fix our healthcare system, but the influence of the food science industry in the U.S. is disastrous. If it remains unaddressed, will Americans ever be healthier? Likely not.

The example above is one of many. Do you love that Pumpkin Spice Latte from Starbucks? Did you know that in the U.S. it’s colored with ammonia?! Even my beloved childhood Nutella is full of junk when it’s manufactured for the U.S. market.
Let’s hope that the Toxic Free Food Act passes to close the ‘Generally Recognized as Safe’ (GRAS) loophole in the FDA approval process. . Thanks to Rosa Delauro (D-CT) for introducing the bill!
